Awesome :) Do you want to use the title "Sanitize" rather than "Landfall" ?

He, he! Hopefully my Mellotron strings will help offset that. I'm waiting till I'm someplace with broadband access to download the submissions so far, but I'm looking forward to it.

That's entirely up to you; relatively speaking, both names serve the same definition.

"Sanitize(Landfall)" works for me.

"Landfall" it is then! :D

Or do you think we should compromise and go with "Sanitary Landfill"?

Gosh, if I didn't have company coming over, I'd shut myself away and finish my recording. Oh, well, I'll take care of it on Monday. It's looking to come together rather nicely. Maybe an update post that has who is doing design and such. Any word on a signature for those who contribute or want to promote? This thread is growing fast, but I'll have my track, I promise. Thanks to all those joining in. You just can't help but feel the duty to help in some way when you actually see what has happened or talk to someone who was left homeless.

Oh, and by the way, the name of my song is "Till The Clouds Roll Away". It is a message of hope, but also an outreach of a helping hand. It's a little cliche-ish by design. Sometimes the best way to say something is in a way that seems so logical. I hope ya'll will like it.

Ok, I'm back from work, so on with the show...
Glooper wrote me a very detailed PM on some of the pitfalls he experienced with the Tsunami benefit CD, so I have a much better idea of what to expect. Marketing seemed to be the biggest stumbling block. Any marketing/advertising folks out there? I know a couple here in the states, so I figured I'd handle it over here, but we will need some folks in Europe and abroad to help out with local marketing.

I love the tracks that are coming through, they are all
Keep them coming!!
My idea about the compression issue is to first just have everyone submit an MP3 and once a tracklist has been decided upon, then we can .ape or .flac them to a server (I'm working on that bit right now).

I'm also going to be talking to some folks about mastering, duplication, and distribution. Raven, Glooper said you did a great job on mastering the last CD, would you be up for doing this one as well?

Keep the tracks coming folks, but of course remember to stay away from copyrighted material, remixes, etc. Xander's suggestions are a good place to start for those needing the initial inertia.

I'd like to donate a yet-written bluesy-jazz track. My good friend is a phenomenal jazz bassists and I'm sure he'd pitch in for the cause. My tentative title is Aqua Nola.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Ok, here's a list of what we need at this point:

Tracks=Duh!
Mastering=? (maybe raven maybe iirs or maybe someone else)
Server space=? (working on this)
European Marketing Team-EMT :hihi: (need at least one person in Britain)=?
Graphics design=Phz
Duplication and Printing=? (will work on this early next week. Anyone have any ideas here?)
Distro=? (this one will be tough with different world markets, any suggestions appreciated)

Sascha just laid down an awesome guitar part for it, and I should have the new mixdown ready by monday at latest.

Someone else has to give it a name though.
