'm testing the Cubase VST app that came with mt Emu 1212 card. I'm Trying to use the ADAT lightpipe input at the moment, using a Yamaha AW4416 as a front end to the Emu card. I'm getting signal in, i'm syncing to adat. i've assigned a track, getting levels in Cubase, i setup a folder on the Audio Record hard drive...seems like everything should be good. Execpt i am unable to "enable" the record track...so i can't record....i've been able to record and playback a vst track ok...i'm baffled...i followed the manual, just can't record anything...
help?

just to point out i may be a dumbass but i'm not stupid, i tried out the T2 demo and recorded a track and played back w/o opening the maual...i guess i'm gonna switch hosts...i'm tired of messing around...but if anyone has and idea why Cubase won't let me enable rrecord for an audio track, i'd sure like to figure it out...

I had the same problem with the Emu-1280 card and the same Cubase VST. It's a big pain in the ass indeed to set up the recording for audio tracks and it took me an eternity to do it. I managed somehow to record audio, however every time I started Cubase VST I had to take this Chinese torture again. So I switched on Cubase SX3,
and it was easier then I expected. Just make sure that the dock your mike or instrument is pluged in is open in the input section when you set up audio and select the same dock in the audio in of the track you want to record.
Well, anyway, It's easier to do it than writing it down.

the weird thing is that the level is showing up, it's monitoring thru, it just won't record enable...very strange....i've been using the AW to record for the moment, EmuX works and such, i'm able to produce music at least...
BTW, Emu finally has the new software CD's available to all registered owners for $25.00 including Sonar LE, Live LE, T-Racks Master EQ, and Amplitube LE....i'm gonna give Sonar a try, it looks pretty nice, as does Live...here's the info:
