I find it funny.
Since owning Reaktor I have been very judicious in which ensembles I downlaod from the NI user library.
I have also stripped my VST folder down too 3 synth's + Reason 3 and a small suite a very useful VST effects.
Actually I now have absolutely no desire for anything else.
Is this a common phenomenon amongst Reaktor users.
I haven'y gotten into building ensembles yet as I have heaps to master as is already.
I do however intend to ease myself into the building side of ensembles in the not too distant future.
So is Reaktor a gearlust killer for other users out there or not.
I honestly couldn't give a flying fig about anything new on the horizon.
Not only is the feeling rather nice it is incredibly liberating to be feeling this way.
It keeps me far more focused on my music and tools at hand instead of distracting myself with a whole heap of stuff I either can't afford or in all honesty really need.
The depth of experimentation is pretty intense with this app also and can be as immediate or deep as you want.
So anyone else feel this way.
Is just me or is Reaktor the panacea to enternal gearlust ?

Totally agree, the only thing that makes me search elsewhere is that it can be quite cpu heavy, but the sounds it produces are amazing, customisable and easy to control.
I love the fact that you can midi learn on each controller too, and this becomes standard across ensembles.. It's like having a load of different synths but not having to learn a thing.
