One question to Fortune, though. I have some presets made and I was thinking of sending them your way once I have a full bank. But with the added thingies in the version 1.1 Pro, are the presets compatible between all versions?
Basically yes. Presets done with the free version will sound the same in the free and Pro, the same vice versa as long as the LMS is not used within the preset as this one is not present in the free. Anyway these presets with LMS can be used basically in the free too.

Hi Fortune,

Congrats with your new synth!
Only... why did you had to copy those ADSR graphics straight from the M42 Nebula??
Couldn't help noticing.

Thanx!

Well, for the GUI You'd ask Vera as she did the complete GUI graphics .. although I think and believe she actually reworked it herself. On my (quite old version) of the M42 it looks quite different though. On the other hand there are not so many variations possible for a graphic representation of the ADSR-curve above the sliders. This kind of graphic representation has been used already at least on a JD-800 from the early 90ies

I compared both together on my system,( m42 ver1.1 and protoplasm) and the adsr graphics both look alike right to the letter placements and size. Perhaps a real coincidance? Don't know what to make of that. :-o :o

I love this one! HG Fortune: this is an instant classic pad-synth. What fantastic presets too. Beautifully rich and full soundscapes - absolutely perfect. Thanx for making this as a freebie. Just one question: how many voices is the free version? (I believe the Pro is 8 voices).

Thanx heaps for this one! :)

Thanx FaX; can't imagine how lush it will sound with 8 voices as it sounds so good with just 2 - might be time to spend a little money....

And within the registered V.1.1 Pro there is also the LFO Modulation Stepper and the option to load user-waves

Hi,

I've purchased the full version and am quite please, congratulations on some fine sounds.

I say quite because I was rather hoping to find more in the way of warm/ expansive/ positive/ etherial pads. The current patches are on the whole are pretty dark/ menacing.

If there are any patch designers out there who fancy the chanllenge of making such a bank (uplifting/ warm etc) it'd be very welcome.

I reckon there is a big market for such a style and seen as how this is such a great sounding synth it'd be intriguing to hear what could be done, I'd definately pay for such a thing.

Hope this may be of some help,

Michael

p.s. maybe worth having some mp3 patch samples on the website

Mr Fortune - I meant too compliment on this.
Just been messing around with it tonight.
The 2 voice version is pretty off the chain as is I might add.
Beautiful sound and great GUI.
Well done.

Hem... I don't want to spoil the party but I have no sound with HG Fortune's stuff, and it's not a host issue because I tried EnergyXT, Sonar, Minihost, and an old Logic.
Could it be related with the fact that my midi is going through USB, on the second channel ?
You can't always get what you waaaant...
