Hi
I already own the EMU 1212m card and have ordered the software bundle they give away with their new soundcards and controllers for £15. It includes cubase le, sonar le and live4 lite among other things.I can't seem to find very much info about them on google. How badly crippled are they? I'm especially interested in whether or not sonar le can generate groove clips.

There was a discussion here on Sonar LE a little while back and from what I remember it seemed like a good deal feature-wise,but because I never encountered it(the Le version)I can't really confirm anything.My brother got the 1820M a while back with Cubase LE which kept hanging upon opening so he trashed it,hopefully EMU includes a newer version.Live LE should be fun.Sounds like a good package overall.

i'm gonna order the cd today when they open...i've only got Cubase LE that came bundled and don't like it much, looking forward to trying live for the "jamming" aspect, sonar looks good for general recording/mixing, i'm unclear if it handles VST properly or not, the info i've seen about Sonar Home Studio says it works fine but i've also read they use a VST wrapper, not sure if that matters much....
when you get the bundle, report your findings if you like (if know one else has), i'll do the same, compair notes and such....
