None of my limiters so far have the same core where
all the algos are from scratch in each case.

Personally I like the Pocket limiter best but this
one is the most transparent of them all at the
cost of latency so high that you have to see it as
a post production tool.

I use it when i just want to raise the volume and
get no character...

I actually forgot this one where it was 99% ready
over 1.5 year ago. Just came across it recently
when I was looking for some sourcecode...

I think it will still be a great tool for mixdown, even if I don't use it live... !

COuld You give me more infos about the differences between Tubelimit (great sounding!!), GreaseTube (i did not know it until yesterday and like it a very lot, but it can be rather close than Tubelimit even if able of more harcore distortion), and your last plugin using tube and limiting techniques (saturated driver) ?
They all can compress, overdrive witouhout clipping and add (sublte or core) warmth to the sound...
Thak you (i can trust my ears, but i'm curious of tech spec)

Greastube was a mistake when I was working on the
Tublimit plug where I thought it sounded funny in
its own distorted way enough to become "another plug".

Other than that I´m just experimenting and if it sounds ok then I´ll make a plug out of it...

And yes I will do a GUI enhanced version of
Tubelimit because it IS a bit small... :hihi:

ok they seemed quite close, so now it's clear.
Is there any reason to make a new plugin called Saturated driver ? Do you find it better in any way than tubelimit or grease tube ?

WIth the announcement of TLS mAw EX, it makes 2 good news in a day ! wooooaaah

You seem to be very interested in developping tube emulation and dynamics plugins... Do you come from hardware gear ? are you a guitarist ? Do you just like the way it sounds ? Whatever your answer can be, i'm still keeping a very interested eye on your work (easy and efficient !). The gui are good too.

I am a "havn´tgotashitcluedrummerprogrammerusinghisearssittingwithheadphonesonalaptopextendedwitha24bitusbaudiocard" type
of guy.

Some plugs I really like, some are OK and some are garbage.

Then again the more time you spend the better it gets.

Daniel, first I want to say thanks for being so generous with all of your past work! I think it's great that you plan to go into business now and I look forward to seeing your future releases.

I also want to say that Pocket Limiter is a great plugin with a signature "fattening" sound that I love.

I wanted to ask you one thing. On some plugin chains that I use in Tracktion 2, either one or both of the L/R channels slowly turn themselves down (gain goes down) to zero when I use Pocket Limiter in those chains. It happens in a number of different cases so I haven't pinned down which plugins it interacts with in this way and which it doesn't, but has anyone else brought something like this to your attention? I know it's P.L. doing it because when I remove it, the levels go back to normal. I'd say it does this in about 15-20% of the chains I try to use it in.

Thanks very much,
Dave
