i'm not dissing synthedit. unless you write your own modules it's not "new technology", simple as that.
=====EDIT=====
why even use such a silly phrase in the first place?

Post

Why make such a big deal out of it? I corrected myself already. Let it go and let's focus on more important things, like actual VST creation.

c'mon sleepy this isn't EA. :D

I call ChordSpace new technology. Nobody has ever done anything like it before and it's done in SE.

Now with improved MIDI jitter!

Bollocks. It doesnt matter what the building blocks are; if they're put together in a new way, then the result is new. End of story.

That's as silly as claiming that no new physical technology is EVER possible because it all uses the same ol' atoms and molecules, or no new virtual tech is possible because it all uses the same machine code ops. We all use pre-existing modules at some level when creating anything, it's when modules are combined in new ways that give radically new results that "new technology" can be claimed. But enough flogging a dead horse, I think you get the point.

Jack, nice effect! AFX would be proud.
A well-behaved signature.

New technology refers here to a new process that acts in a different way than others have before it. It's entirely possible to create a new and unique technology by using pre-existing lines of code in new ways (in this case, pre-existing components in new routings, but it's equivalent).

The atoms and molecules analogy is perfectly apt, as would be a comparison to an author of a book. A book can be new, unique, revolutionary, without using any words that can't be found in the dictionary.

JackDark, you owe me some money for the "Dry Cleaning Bill!!" :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: This vsti needs to go into a separate folder somewhere in windows to keep everything around it from getting wet. It runs the gamut from gentle effect to untamed beast - I'm thinking shark or squid or killer whale or something wet and oceanic.

There's nothing around here that can do all of that stuff it does, so my vote is, "NEW TECHNOLOGY." :D :D :D

Without sounding like a real grouse, is there a way to change the speed of the sine wave thingy? or did I just miss some control? (I finally figured out that the eyes are knobs, and the most hilarious feature of the gui)  It's very cool, IMHO.

:D

I'm up to my old hat tricks again.

Actually the "eyes" control the speed of the LFO sinewaves. Left eye does left channel, right does right channel, respectively.

I'm glad a few folks agree with "New Technology". The next plug I do that incorporates "HydroVerb" will make the function more "controllable" and thusly more... um, useable? For now it's great for happy accidents IMHO.

Thanks to everyone who's given it a shot. Feedback's always appreciated!

where's the Marzipan plug! DO IT!
