And I'm sure the marketing vermin in JD's employ are more than happy with the association.

Yeah, I know I was drinking the 30(or is it 28) year old Macallan in scotland for 2 pounds a glass. anything over 18 years old here is 20 bucks a glass.

I only knew there were so many as I used to work for an off license specialising in whiskey -

it was probably the 18yr old - once you start at 20 yrs and above it hits the £100 a bottle mark, minimum.

We once had an order for a few bottles of the Macallen 1946. They sold for £1550 a bottle if my memory serves me correctly

I can think of better ways to spend fifteen hundred quid myself, but each to their own I suppose

If it's a joke sorry for my lack of sense of humour on this subject, but if you really haven't drunk for four years (I'm guessing that is because you have an alcohol problem) and you think that that time has proved you can control your habit you are in for great trouble. It hasn't and you'll ruin your life.
Oh now..........I poured a big ol' glass and drank a wee bit of it and threw the rest out..........

I am sorry about the alch problems, I should not have made fun of the subject.

ugo wrote:i agree with Equilibrium. if you've been trying to stay sober, you even have to question whether you might be an alcoholic, and you've now fallen off the wagon after 4 years...do yourself and everyone you know a big favor and start going to AA meetings asap. get back on track and you'll thank yourself for it in the end.

O, I was just kinda playing, but thanks for your thoughts :)

Believe me. You'll control it for weeks...maybe months. But soon you'll remember why it was you stopped. Hopefully there won't be too much damage done by then.

When you see the jackasses you used to hang out with come back into your life after being gone for four years, you'll know at that point you're screwed.

If you're joking, ignore my lecture. :hihi:
I used to drink allot, then at my old age, I just said F.. IT! Last night I was pissed off real real real real bad so I thought, just tonight.....and it'll probably be years again before I drink anything.....I didn't like the feeling after an hour or so............

But I have to say............it was tasty..........I

 the taste of brown licker.........JD, makers, Mccallum (spelling?)if they could just get the taste without the spirits..........

Nothing tastes like 95% pure Ethanol mixed with blueberry syrup :D.
