Hello, trying to use Tracktion I on my Mc, but it's a bit hard to find freeware effects (good ones),i. e EQ, reverbs, COMP, Virtual amps...) especially when you come from the PC world. Any tip ? Thanks !

There's many available. Check out the smartelectronix stuff, the mda stuff, crystal, digitalfishphones.com... plenty of others too. A good resource is osxaudio.com.

Agreed!
When I switched to Mac, I was happy for Ohmforce Fromage (Filter)
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/572.html
and Smartelectronix Ambience
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/707.html
but also mda, digitalfishphones, ...
you need VST or AU?
EDIT: Just awnsered myself, you use Tracktion, so you need VST

Good point. The MatrixReverb sounds great and is very CPU-light. I'm guessing they did some serious SSE work on it.mckenic wrote:...And remember if you have a way to use AUs (in a wave editor or whatever) the Apple ones are pretty OK... Ithe multiband comp!!!

the only shame here is you can't currently get an AU to VST wrapper, only VST to AU
