Hm, 220kbps won't result in under 15 minutes for a 215MB file... :?:

Yeah, just like with most P2P clients.
Anyways, that 5mbit line explains a lot :)

well that's an average reported by my BitComet client. the speeds vary throughout the life of a download, in this case that 12 minute period. your mileage will vary depending on where you're at in the world, your connection, the # of people "seeding" the file, and the connection of those people.

5mbps seems pretty standard for the US with cable. my Swedish friend makes fun of me for it cuz he has like a 10 mb line up & down :(

Ah well, I'm still happy we finally have flatrates over here (just imagine, until 3-4 years ago or so there haven't even been analog modem line flatrates, germany = telecommunicational stoneage!).
I usually don't need any faster download speeds, but I could sometimes do with faster uploads (256 for me).

And heck yeah, those swedes have allways been WAY ahead of anybody in Europe.

Per will be amused you said that (the swedish guy) :)
man this thread has blown up!

It will take forever on dial-up. And, it seems to take over an hour befor it starts to download, though it is uploading from the moment you connect.

Post

Rangtangtang, seriously, I can't stand your dilemma anymore ;) Are you located in Europe? Then just tell me your adress and I'll send you both versions on CDs.

LOL don't make me think about dial-up, it gives me a headache!

Post

Well crap. I tried downloading the first day and it timed out. Now I come back to find they changed the download method and I have to install P2P software? I'd rather not put yet another program on my computer.

Oh well. :(

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

Well, Rabid, I don't think Azureus will mess around with your system.
