hello,
i am new to this forum.
i would like to give one of my older completed tracks that i wrote back in 2000.
the track is called "holding on" and it is in a dark down-tempo style. it is an unreleased track.
please tell me where do i have to upload the track for inclusion in the katrina cd compilation?
thank you very much, :-)
bakis.

Do you still need copy other than what's on the web site already? If so, where exactly are the funds going to go? It would probably help if we could specifically say, "100% of the profits will go to [insert specific charity]."

Would it be possible to offer sound clips of the songs on the official web page? It would be cool if artist bio's and links to artist web sites were included on the page as well.

I was going to ask if people have connections at college/alternative radio stations. I have one friend who works for an cable TV/internet radio program.

But I think the best promo would probably be, as already suggested, at our places of employment. I'm not sure I can get permission to send a company-wide email out here (I work for a major US corporation), but I'll certainly be able to get some sort of communication out to over 100 employees in the area I work. That might generate some pre-orders as well.
As far as I know all radio stations ignored us. Though I didn't listen to them all so maybe one or two of them did play us?. There was a saturation of similar projects and the official response I received from the BBC was that they couldn't support any projects like this as they were only allowed to support "children in need" and "comic relief" and apperently "emma b" was "doing something".
we had a few local articles in machester... I'm not sure if that helped Glassback sell some more but he managed to sell quite a few to friends... I think the computer Music article might have helped with kudos amoungst KVRians and thus a swayed a few kvrians to buy it.. though i'm not sure.

But really most were sold to friends, work collegues and family... I sold loads to my work collegues by constantly sticking up there noses every day and demanding money off them...hehe..:)

It took me a little longer than expected to finish recording this, but here is my contribution if I am not too late on this. I'll final mix it tommorrow, now must rest. This is shaping up to be a great project. I appologize if the length is too great.

hello, :-)
ok, i wanted to upload the track of mine very quickly, so, i uploaded the track to the auditorium instead of the shima records website.
here is the link:

i hope that you like it and that you'll include it in the katrina relief cd compilation.
that is an unreleased track of mine and the title is its original title, not a new title for the cd project.
all comments are always welcome,
best regards, :-)
bakis.

I think so, too.
And please make it one of the big ones or a music related one...

Sweet track, bakis! Listening to it right now. Love the utter solidity of that kick drum. Nice mood, too. Dark but not oppressive. Should definitely be fine for the CD. Make sure you send a short bio to xander via PM.
