hello,
sorry to be the carrier of bad news, but shouldn't you stop accepting more track submissions now?
i mean, of course let's wait for the rest of the 40 already announced tracks to arrive, and then no more tracks(no more than the, already announced, 40 i mean) should be accepted.
OR, you could accept more tracks but announce that all tracks above the 40th, that means all extra tracks from now on, will be available as free downloads from the katrina relief cd website.
i do not want to sound mean or anything, i am just saying this because, after a rough estimation: if we assume that the average length of each track will be 4 minutes, then the 40 tracks give us 160 minutes of music. that means 80 minutes in each of the two cd's. so, then, we have two full cd's with ALL 40 submited tracks included!
but that's only my opinion. what's your opinion regarding this matter?
best regards,
bakis.

Uploading right now, but I realized the wav doesn't have tags, so it only reads the title 'Sokratines'

So let it be written.freeztar wrote:The chosen charities are:

Xander and I feel that these two charities are good choices for direct aid and effort in the Gulf Coast region. All profits from cd sales will be split equally between these organizations.
So let it be done.
Should the wav files we send have artist and song title in the file name, or just song? Or does it matter?
I haven't had a chance to render a 24 bit wav yet but I hope to get it done and FTP this weekend.

I see no reason to deny anyone participation. If we have more tracks than needed, great! I like your idea about extra tracks being free downloads on site, but I'd need to talk to kovacs about the logistics.Parallel Worlds wrote:hello,

I'm still waiting on a track length count for what we have so far. That will tell us how much we have to work with. I'm going to make my track short to help with space and I'd suggest that others try to do the same.
But bottomline is the more tracks the better. Keep them coming folks!
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

I slapped this together really fast to post at work and around town and I figured ya'll might want to make copies and post them around your work and town as well.
Katrina Flier
We really need to get on the marketing. This is one way that everyone can help make this project a success. If someone comes up with a better flier design then post it here.
