Here's mine:

And then there was Moog

It's in 5/4... why d'you ask? Well, I think it has something to do with me falling on my head when I was 11... :hihi: and I don't think I'll do another for a while yet.

I wanted some kind of progressive sound from the 70's, didn't quite make it I'm affraid.

Sequenced in Tracktion with:

Wusikstation
Pentagon 1
GlaceVerb
GeneComp
Classic delay
TLs maximiser

RIP Bob.

My Bob Moog tribute

Shadows in our minds

First review

Kvrers: Hi great song
Seph: thanks
Kvrers: but....
Seph: (let's just stop here)
Kvrers: There is a bit too much going on there
Seph: Yeah thanks. I stopped counting after I hit the 100 tracks mark. Kinda difficult to get something minimalistic out of 100 tracks.
Kvrers: Your guitars are out of time.
Seph: Yeah thanks. That was the demo tracks. I wanted to re-record them but my arthritis would not let go, so it must stay the way it is.
Kvrers: And your guitar is out of tune
Seph: Out of tune? What. Have you ever heard a Moog synth that was in tune?
Kvrers: What is that real crappy effect on the guitars?
Seph: Yeah thanks. That is Ozone.
Kvrers: The song got nothing to do with the theme
Seph: Yeah thanks and faq U2. Go take another listen. Maybe you'll hear it.
Kvrers: Oh, but I really mean it. The synths are not even Moog synths
Seph: Yeah thanks, but it is Moog, not Moog.
Kvrers: OK, but why did you not use a Moog synth?
Seph: I said it is faq'n Moog, not Moog. You know, Moog as in V..... never mind
Kvrers: Yeah thanks and faq U2

Bob has gone

Tried to stay naive and sort of lo-fi. 8)

In the beginning there was no idea for the theme. Playing guitars brought some naive tune and melody. After that it was thinkable to add a moogish idea.
Unfortunately the music grew more happy than being a requiem. My 1st english vocals here for years, they are very simple.
Hope no moog fan feels offended because of intended happy dilletantism :)

Plugs used:

7 instances of Minimogue VA

Plus:
Guitars and vocals

Indeed...

One, if not THE, greatest of electronic music pioneers.

So, here is my little homage -

 Music For The Computer Age

..rather 80s
lots of synths, a vocoder, but no real Moog :(

In tribute to the sad death of Bob Moog I have produced a track in Bob's honour written soley using the only Moog equipment I could muster - which (unfortunately) is the Moog Modular and Minimoog
softsynths. Speech samples from a Moog demo disc and from the good Dr. himself suppliment the raw (virtual) analogue power!

Here's an editted version of my original Bob Moog Tribute.

The Release (KVR Edit)

hmmm.....you might have to cut and past this URL asit's too long?

http://www.adwright.net/chris/voynich/s ... _Edit).mp3

Sorry.

I used Bob's voice from a British TV show aired 20 years ago where he demonstrated the Minimoog. I made this show (with other material) into a DVD that I've been selling and have had many takers - some famous-ish :)

Synth History DVD

The full (longer) track version in higher quality (320kbit) of "The Release" is the third tune down on www.voynich.co.uk

Bob will only truly die when we have all forgotten him - not likely -
he leaves a massive legacy!

Thanks for listening.

Following on with the bad moog puns:

Moogie Wonderland

**Disclaimer** I generally mess about with samples of more 'traditional' instruments so this is my first foray into electronic synthy sort of stuff and I have really rather enjoyed making it.

It is pretty much all done with the (soon to be purchased :) ) µTonic demo and lots and lots of minimogueVA's and Ambience.

No Moog instruments or effects were harmed in the making of this tune. I was wearing my Cave In t-shirt though

so it's called Fooger, it can be downloaded as either ogg vorbis or mp3 file.

Well. I wasn't sure if I should enter this month. I think that the no vote thing is absurd. Don't care about the prices etc. But voting must be reinstated!

And I have no real relation to mr. Moog: I don't think he really liked computers in music - and I rarely use synths. But I recognize his importance. And some of his effects are great fun.

So I did a live piece using my 80's Japanese Strat through a pedal chain consisting of Pearl Thriller, Pearl Octaver, cheap Chinese delay and than directly into EXT (see pic). And alot of VSTs - all of them freebies I think.

I considered entering all 12 minutes. What is the point in having rules without the vote? But then I'm a nice, welbehaved citizen, so I edited down to four.

Here you go: Moog Has Left the Building.

I don´t want to make many words. This track is a tribute to one of the most important pioneers of electronic instruments in the last century and one of the first musicians who played and mastered the Moog synthesizer like a normal instrument :hail: :hail: :
