I would like to let you know about our new sample/ synthesis library for Kontakt 2, Abstrakt.

It contains 64 lush workstation style pads and atmospheres, and 5 new KSP script processors. It's specifically programmed for Kontakt 2 ,as it uses a lot of the synthesis power available there.

I just scooped this up and thought i'd post and let people know this stuff is fantastic - my favourite thing is the KSP scrips (hint: the tape 'drift'). There's loads of multisampled patches - each patch has a lot of great stuff going on, no repetition, and not too bad on my g4 either.
it's got that 'hardware' sound, without trying to provoke a fight!
i make hiphop and there's a load of different stuff in there which i found useful - pads, musical stuff, atmospheric stuff etc.
yeah, i just wanted to say that for 35 euros this was a steal - and thanks

I just got mine and even though I am composing piano music I did have some time to go through the patches and this is Killer $#%^%$!! Man I love those scripts too Kontkat2 is just made bad ass! Anwayz this is great Cd!

Sounds like this was inspired by BOC. The other day I was trying to create a sound like your Bagpuss demo, actaully I was trying to recreate the two main sounds in Ready Lets Go
I'll probably pick this up in a couple of days. I really like all the demos, and the scripts would be cool to be able to use on my own samples.

Yeah, the tape wow script was specifically inspired by BOC, as its near impossible to get that organic pitch drift anywhere else ( digital). There's two instruments there which are very close to BOC's sounds...woozy, drifting, opaque analogue pads. Its such a great effect. i think BOC did it with a tascam portastudio or similar, but i could be wrong.
However, there is lots of variety elsewhere in the library- we didn't make it all to sound like BOC! its a really good mix of moods, i hope.

Thanks for the tip on the portastudio, I'll have to check that out. Their is a tape wow effect on my PODxt Live (now at the shop) that sounds pretty good, but I'd love to have yours as well.

...definitely!! I received my copy this week and it got me playing with it for the rest of the day. The sound quality is excellent and thinking about their forthcoming libraries Abstrakt Vol. 2 & Abstrakt Drums makes them some sound designers I will surely keep my eye on...

I might be getting some money back from college. If so I'll be getting this and a cassete portastudio and a couple of dynamic mics. Hopefully I'll know by the end of the day.
