Group buy suggestion, notification poll

During group buys it really would be cool to know immediately that one was referred to. That gives a better estimation of where one is heading. Direct feedback might also be a motivation for many people to sow some additional news-seeds all over the web.
It's kind of hard to wait 3 weeks until the group buy orders are processed.
Suggestion: Modify the software to send a mail, notifying that a group buy referral was done and stating that the epointz will be added at the end of the group buy, when the order actually gets processed.

I vote "yes", but only if it is trivially easy for SR to implement this in their ordering system - I'd much prefer tham to spend time on making new content, selling it and shipping it than messing around with their ordering software (speaking as an ex-application programmer who knows how hard some of these "easy looking" changes can be!).
Anyway tele it's easy for you, just count the number of people in the group buy and divide it by two - that'll be about right
Regards,
Derek.

Definitely updates as you go otherwise referrals can get wasted when prople get max'd out ($50). You could then refer someone else (another deserving cause

yeah - my referral was wasted - I'd have referred anyone rather than lose it.
But it ended up a great price, and as I had $10 in points before, I end up with a total of $63.00 total. Can't beat that, unless you had more epoints of course

As I wrote in the other thread, it was only some referrals that got lost, so to say. It added up to $50, after that, my own order was processed and my $50 epointz were used. From there on it started builung up again.
Thanks very much to all that refered to me. It wasn't a wasted reward for all the action I did all over the web.
Also thanks to all the helpful folks to make it such a succes. It was fun to play that game together with you.
A special thanks goes to those who have posted outside of KVR to make it known all over the web.

Next group buy is gonna veeeery different. We'll have 25 very active people that open discussion threads in 3 other forums than KVR. That's a total of 90 discussion threads all over the web. A resilt will be over 700 people joining and enough epointz for all of them.
How is that?
And to make it even more fun, I vote for immediate notification, when being referred to.

Telebunke -
Yes I referred you, it was a close thing with you and Harmony. I saw someone refer Harmony just before I purchased so I wanted it spread about a bit.
How about next time a separate post is submitted(here) withheadings like:
Refer-Telebunke
Refer Harmony
etc. (with a different post for each person)
Then when someone refers that person, they add their name to the messages. Perhaps a request to
"Please only reply here if referring" added to the post. Might work with just the occasional bump if this forum was busy.Anyone can place their own name up for referral if they choose.
Anyway - just a thought.

A whopping zero people referred me. But then I hardly pushed for it, either. I'll rather some of you guys get it since you work very hard to spread the word.

kovacs- same here but I didn't spread the word around and didn't deserve any. Almost didn't go for it but Sonic Synth will be here for longer than a group buy.
I came in at the last minute.

Hey guys! I think that advanced notification is a tricky thing, since they don't charge us until the GB closes. They can't really inform us until they we actually pay up. I didn't fill up this time, but I have in the past. I've always thought it would be nice if they could raise the number of epointz we could accumulate, especially for GB situations. They could continue the $50 limit per purchase. I think that would be the most fair thing. Tele deserved the epointz he got.
At any rate, I can say that whenever I've had a problem, they have always made it right with me. At the end of the day, esoundz is always fair.
Thanks to everyone who made the GB a success, and a special thanks to those who referred me.

Well, they still could send a mail telling that you had been referred to and that the epointz will be added after the order got processed and that it will only be added if the order is not withdrawn. But of course that might involve some complications and one would need a bright software concept to cover all the different situations that might occur.harmony gardens wrote:They can't really inform us until they we actually pay up.
