In cubase sx3 is there an easy way to change the order of a chain of effects.

EG - if i have a EQ before a compressor and i want to change it vice verca,
at the moment im deleting the effects then opening them again.

Surely theres an easier way around this ?

i couldn't find anything in the getting started manual.

i think there is no way to change the order of effects....

It's actually really really really annoying.

Steiny - Cubase 4. Listen!
Three shall be the number of the counting

And the number of the counting shall be three.

Forget about it.
Save settings temporarily, reload the patches when you reassigned all effects manually.
Sucks freaking big time.
This is possible in Logic since several years, just by dragging FX around, and I tell you, it rules!

What about the problem with group channels only linking to other group channels with higher number issue.. Has that been fixed in SX3? Im still with version 2.. And it's sooo anoying when I made a good chain and then later in the track need to put one more channel into that chain.. Hope you understand what I mean..

Guess it's still not fixed, Orbitutle.

I think it's inserts, then EQ. Which would make sense in most cases.

The problem with the group routing mentioned above hasn't been fixed yet (SX3.1), no. You still can't route newly created group channels to group channels created before that. Only the other way around.

ditch Cubase, use Tracktion instead. ;)

As for the module order, in SX 3.1 it is:
pre-fader Inserts - EQ - Fader - post-fader inserts (the black label ones)

you 'd think you would be able to drag up and down like in chainer, but no !! i always leave rack spaces empty between loaded fx then i can add stuff before or after in the rack.. (using cubase sx-1)

Also SX 3.1 has some audio engine issues which weren't there in 3.02, when you load a new (non delay inducing) synth or effect you get that frozen audio buffer loop zipper noise when you try that during project playback.
With some plugins it even happens on preset change (like TC Tubifex) - when you change presets during project playback.

Hope they fix that again quickly.
