:dog: I dunno why I haven't found this out earlier :oops: :shock:

- load the first insert you want to have in a group-track like a synth to a midi-track

- route all tracks you want to group to this fx instead of to a master-out

- load all subsequent group-inserts as normal track-inserts to the midi-track

- done :-D :party:

it's really that simple and it works and all group-inserts are automatable... - I guess this functionality was always there - we just didn't realize it... :o :-o :shock:


b.t.w.: with that technique you can even group group-tracks... :-D 8)

to me full functionnality isn't about routing only, but being able to edit the tracks' data all at once, like chopping/arranging several parts as one...
that's a useful trick though, but nowhere close to what i really wish a 'full fonctionnality' group track would be.

it seems you are mixing up things there... :?

what you mean hasn't got anything to do with 'group-tracks' - it's a request concearning folder-tracks - and as it is a totally different topic could we please leave it out of this thread?

So if you make the first insert something like the VB striptool you get gain, eq and compression all in one hit for the group - plus any other fx you load in the normal way!

yep - and if you (for consistency's sake) rather like to have them all as normal inserts then just set Anechoic Room Simulator as the output of the midi-track... ;-) :-D

Yes it's great !

But think about 'me' i'am a new user. I want to have it easy. The flexybility of eXT is uncomparable. But please give me a way, how i can do my tasks ?.

Hi Jens,
the progi should give you some help in use cases.
Features are nice we know that already from MS.
We can start than some MS_eXT_CE program and get rich.
Or how about a eXT assistant(Uaaahhh ;) ).
If i want to use the Sequencer, i have to put it in, than i have to dock the window, and than i need to know f9 and f7.Do i something wrong ?
Let's make that beast a little more usable ?
Than people with less knowledge of music software and DAW'S wouldn't make so much questions. :)
Or do we want to get rich ? :)

yes, I partly agree and this has laready been extensively discussed but to answer your question in a more direct way:

the steps you described you only have to do once and then you can 'save as default' - I now added a new folder called 'Groups' and containing four group-tracks to my default project. :?

Jens,
i like to call you a power user.
But imho i see eXT as a Workstation.
I want it easy. What ever is in there 'And i know it's a lot in there'.
Give me the flow and not the need of a post to eXT forum.
Use a Fantom. Ok eXT is a lot of MORE powerfull. But give me the flow until i want MORE !!.

it's the missing ability to start off with a default sequencer-project... :-(

- you need to know eXT fairly well to create your own default-project...
