As a professional vocalist with a recording studio, I'm really curious - what kind of vocals are you looking for? What type of vocals is there a specific lack of?

Hey poepe:

Yes, got the studio set up and am getting ready to launch an audiomagazine on the website next month. Thanks for asking, compadre.

I've also been doing a lot more remote session work at the studio, which is why the thread about the lack of good vocal building blocks caught my eye. I've been doing all instrumental sessions (bass, guitar and a harmonica session) and am interested in exploring vocal work.

Anyone monitoring this thread: I'm an old-skool, full-throated soul vocalist in the Teddy Pendergrass or Ray Charles vein. I like anything soulful from house to gutbucket blues and would be interested in doing a little collaborative work to build up a collection of vocal samples. Contact me via PM here, publicly on the list or info AT texasmusicforge DOT com.

Best regards,

Tio Ed

i emcee and can hit notes on key if you need any oooh's and ahhh's and other random stuff without any real words. still not singing full songs, but can do stuff like that on-key, but i'm going to record some samples of stuff like that for myself and would post for others if they want it. got the flu right now, and won't be recording them til i get better.

that vocals only site does look good, very reasonable prices except this clause makes it somewhat useless (to me at least)
"Vocals Only acapellas are 100% royalty free. If you want to sell your remix by yourself or to a company you must, in advance, fill out the Vocals Only Commercial Licensing Agreement and pay a one time license fee of $19.95 for each song that incorporates a Vocals Only Remix Pack. There are no royalties afterwards. The license dictates that you must give us full credit on the product as the original writers, producers and singers of the song."
so you incorporate an acapella in your song, and suddenly they take the credit for all your hard production work  In effect they're not so much selling vocal samples as complete songs (which you may remix) - which is probably not what most people want

Our Julie Vocals collections, if they suit you, are completely royalty free after you purchased them. Of course you can credit us and Julie for the samples if you want, but you don't have too.
