Also, the name tagging doesn't seem to be working here, I get the song name but not the artists displayed in itunes.
Also, I am Mac internet DUMB, have absolutely no idea how to upload to ftp, and have suggested to koolkeys via pm (please tell him to check his inbox) that I upload the song to www.yousendit.com where he can easily download it..I can do this immediately, although am going to bed now...it's 2am here.
Lastly, I presordered around half hour ago, and had major problems with firefox, so ended up having to do it in IE6, which worked fine..i thought you might want to know!

2.) You already dithered to 16bit and maximized loudness/compression. Again, if you did this well, then it's not an issue at all UNLESS YOU HAVEN'T TOLD TOTC!! How would he know without ceaseless experimentation what you have or haven't done to your track?
We MUST tell the dude what has been done to the track if it differs from the Instructions we issued about this.
Be that as it may, of course if it's already been more or less mastered by yourself, then we'll have to do our best attempt to normalize to the levels of the other tracks, etc. It's why we asked for a specific format. Anyway, since you've already done it, TOTC wil do his best. Of course, he will dither all to 16bit anyway, so we'll have to see if it "colors" properly with the rest of the tracks. Verstanden?
As far as name-tagging the mastered files - we have to wait until they are in CDA format. This is when we (prolly I, since I have all the complete title/artist-bio info) will submit the CD track info to the CDDB with all the proper fields updated. CDDB = CD DataBase.
So, this means that no one can counterfit our CD with an alternate CDDB entry -- When someone plays the CD in their Winamp player, for instance, the info will be in the CDA file -- same as can be found automatically for it from the CDDB on the internet.
3.) Uloading: Please PM TOTC and you can upload directly to him (or maybe he can download from you) if you can't get things resolved with Koolkeys.

Track Deadline
We are getting CLOSE to the deadline for track submissions...BUT:
...there are a few mates that have decided (early on in this project) that if the double CD went over limits, we would NOT submit our tracks. This means me as well, since it's way more important for the CD to be successfully produced than to have a xander track on it (sorry to our collab buddies if this be the case). This is the best way to ensure we have enough quality tracks and fewer hassels/worries. If those tracks voluntarily removed aren't enough, we'll ask for more volunteers, and I am sure everyone is cool enough about it to volunteer, so we should NOT be worried about the CD length/too many tracks, etc..
We're going to feel much better knowing that the money is going from a CD we produced to help people in desperate need -- a way better feeling than poncing about with a CD going: "I'm somebody! I'm somebody!!"
Bios
We should have posted some guidelines on this, but basically it's a free-form thing and should only be about three lines. The bios are needed in projects like this to lend more depth to the track than just it's music, and when the listener see such, they get a more personal feeling about the music. Your name ought to be your chosen professional name. HOWEVER, I have known famous artists to collab on projects like this using fake names so they wouldn't violate their Label contracts. Up to you!

So when is the deadline for submission? (Sorry I haven't gone through the 80 some odd pages so far.) I'm working on two pieces currently, one of which I'd like to submit called "Blackwater," but I've been pinched for time.
I don't mind if my song is omitted from the final CD should it go overtime. I just want to help out.
