To nickkbh : very strange ! Ofcourse , tommorow morning another dvd 'll be on the way to you ! But why very strange ? Even if we have a so big number of customers , payments from your country are very rare ! Because of this i can remmember about you and your dvd has been veryfied by myself (!) before be sended ! And i'm VERY SURE (!) all was absolutely ok ( perfect) ! And ofcourse - no scratches ! So , i can't understand - where , when and how appears these scratches ?!? Very strange !

To all of our customers : attention , a part of our dvd's contains a very large number of samples and a big size ! Because of this you must setting well your system buffer (it's very simple !) , to be abble to reading these ! I tell you this because few of our customers was sending to us e-mails about problems , and after what they was setting well their system buffer , now all it's just fine and they are happy !
( Other times , appears problems (especially) at 24 bits version dvd , because their system drivers can't reading resolution bigger than 16 bits/44100 hz and must to be setted well for this ! )

So be carefule ! All of these problems ( can't reading the dvd) appears at only 1% of our customers , so first , please verifyng very well your settings ! Thank you !

Anyway , in all of these cases , another dvd has been sended quickly to replace first dvd !

I stumbled onto this thread today, and I have to say I'm deeply saddened to hear your news. You've been a real inspiration because of how you've always helped musicians and been such a nice guy on lots of forums across the web. You can leave us knowing that you've made a huge positive impact on many musician's lives. Thanks for everything Doru, and I really hope your last days are as pain free and happy as possible, and I hope you can keep on keeping on for a while yet

How do you set the "system buffer"... do you mean the DVD or CD drive buffer settings?

The scratches are in the middle of the dvd.
I tried several times.Some parts of the dvd is ok,some parts i can't read.
If you want i can send it back to you.

To scam_artist : thank you for your support and for all of your wonderful words , my friend ! Fortunately , because the medicines , i have no pains now . Unfortunatelly the diagnose is the same - only few months ...

To nickkbh : don't worry , i'm just dissapointed because you have problems and the distance between our countries it's so big so are necesarry some days to dvd to arrive ! I think that the reason of these scratches was discoverd : the postal services ! I will try to explain with my so bad english : these scratches appears sometimes when the postal office worker append (cliche) to stamp ( append very hard with a metalic object ) and because of this the protection map are not enough to protect the dvd ! If you 'll verify the place of scratches with the place of the stamp of the protection map , you 'll have the confirmation ! Are very rare situations but exist !

Greetings from india doru. The people of my land believe in a better world that awaits all of us, for good reason. We'll all see you there sometime.

I'll order the CD very soon (expecting a small cheque today!) Seeing so many indian instruments has really got me excited, and if they are as good as I hope they will be, this is a jackpot!

I have a proposal, I suppose most of us here have bought or will buy the wave sample version. how about some of us split work between us and map all samples to a standard format (SF for eg.). I can pik up all Indian content. If it's ok with Doru, we can have a database mantained somewhere listing whats been done and whats pending, some ppl. can take charge of QC.... just a thought.. lemme know.

Edit : But SF files will end up being too large, we only need mapping info. So which would make for the most common sample format ? I own none.

Hi Doru, thought I should let you know, when I program drums for my tracks, almost every track features sounds from SuperDrums and/or SuperPercussionFX... I'll write a review!

Hi Doru! I was on your website, and could not locate any CD version. Only DVD's. Would it be possible for you to send in a CD version, at 44.1/24 ? (or is it only 44.1/16 ?)

One more thing, why not have the bank downloadable also ? That ways you can save on costs, and we on time. Is there any comprehensive printed material along with the CD/DVD ?

Hi Doru, the two DVDs arrived but the SuperPercussionFX has some sector problems that don't allow me to read the DVD. I've tried it on 3 Macs and a PC. Can you please send me a replacement?

FYI -With the previous 230 Ethnic Drums DVD I also had trouble reading it on the Mac G5 but my G4 could read it - just so you know there are some issues where it will work on one drive but not another. As for the problem DVD above though, it clearly is a defective DVD as we've tried to bit copy it on the PC but there are large sector errors.

The SuperDrums8000 is great and I look forward to hearing the SuperPercussionFX as well when I get another disc.

And we don't agree to spliting this ethnic treasure in many small sondfonts because the idea was exactly to have all of these instruments togheter ! Because of this " ... All copying, duplicating, reselling or trading of these sounds is strictly prohibited. This includes creating a new sample library in a database or on any form of media such as CD-ROM, CDA, DVD, DVD-R, any form of magnetic or optical storage media, or in any way deemed inappropriate by Doru MALAIA in accordance with this agreement and international law. You can not transfer the sound files electronically or via any peer to peer file sharing program, FTP site, service bureau operation, DRS, computer network or in any way not expressly allowed by Doru MALAIA. Only the original purchaser has the right to use the sound samples. You may not distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, assign, or otherwise transfer any of the sounds.
You are, however, not allowed to resell or redistribute any or all of the samples as a sample pack , refill , sf2, etc or on a sample CD "

"Superdrums8000" - both versions and all the refill versions of our cd's are burned on cd's . Only the wave version of "SuperPercussionssFX" and "230 Ethnic Drums and Percussions" are burned on dvd's !

Also the downloadable versions can't be ! Just think about how it's to download 4,2 Gb for only 1 dvd !

To nickkbh : thank you again for your support my friend ! It's impossible to send you togheter the cd's because our expedition service it's very fast and "230 ..." already has been sended to you in the moment when your new payments has been received ! So you 'll recieve the second cd package 24 hours later than first package !

Haven't time to make other format versions of existing materials ! I have only few months and working very hard right now to finishing a last product of mine . I preferring , (if will be possible , because my health) to finishing one new product , not to give you other formats ! This it's my personal fight with time !

To synergy543 : again i don't know what i can say ! For each 100 cd's or dvd's sended , 1 or 2 have problems ( even if ALL are verified before expedition !) ! Ofcourse monday morning ( because now it's saturday and is week-end ) , another dvd 'll be sended to you . But attention , "Superdrums8000" is a cd , not a dvd , seems that you have problems to reading dvd's .

This it's a little strange , is it ? Anyway , you know our politic : when someone have problem with one of our dvd's , we sending quickly another to replace first . So just send me an e-mail with your details to send you another dvd ( there are thousands customers , so i can't understand that the guy who make expeditions have problems to identify you !) .

Remmember : you are not only customers to us , you are our friends and musicians brothers and we 'll do all our best to you , to be satisfied , because this is our target ! And i think all 'll be ok . For example , at this moment , we have more than 2000 "230 Ethnic Drums & Percussions" solded (all versions togheter) , and only 18 customers was having problems with these . In all these cases another dvd's has been sended to these customers , ( even if in few cases the problems has been solved after what they was setting well their system buffer !)! .

I don't know if , after my death , this activity 'll continue to stay alive. This because nobody of us have a personal proffit ! The little proffit obtained at each cd or dvd we spenting to buy for cd's , dvd's , maps , boxes , expeditions , domain , site , bandwith , taxes (!) , sometimes - softwares , hardwares or instruments , and many others ! It's a honorific work of all members of our team ! Because of this , i'm not sure that they 'll continue ! I hope that the answer 'll be yes but ...

But I still do not see any Data CD's (except the refills) on your site which I can order, only DVD's
