Mackie Onyx 400F and Tracktion 2

Ready to do a huge upgrade from 1992-era Atari/Cubase to Mac G4 Dual 800/? Intrigued by Mackie's Onyx 400F interface which includes Tracktion 2. Done a lot of research on other DAWs like DP, Cubase, Logic, Live... Want a "simple", intuitive environment. Tracktion seems to offer this. The Onyx 400F seems like a great deal in itself. I bought one of the first Mackie CR1604 mixers after meeting Greg at a NAMM show in L.A., and have used it for about 14 years without any problems. So, I'm sold on Mackie stuff. I'm a MIDI guy primarily, who wants to record vocals and the occassional guitar/cowbell.

Just looking for feedback from any Tracktion users as well as recommendations on an audio/midi interface. Like I said, I like the Onyx/Tracktion package based on price and previous Mackie product satisfaction. Any advice would be welcome and most appreciated! TIA, Chromo.
