Also, please fill in the Tag info for your song before you upload it to the FTP site, using THIS file naming format: (title/artist - or - artist/title)

i.e. GoldenThroat&Handsome_Xander.wav.

*If your song is in the complete list, but the link is not active or correct, please PM xander.

FTP Upload Instructions:

Server: 65.254.59.234

Port: 21
User ID/Login: katrina@audiopedia.org
Password: relief

************NOTE:*************
Make sure you upload a full wav file mixdown. If possible AT ALL, don't use mp3 as your upload. Yes, the files are bigger, but that's fine. It helps with the end quality of mastering. Upload AT LEAST 44.1khz and 16 bit*******************

Contact Koolkeys or post here with any FTP questions or if this isn't a viable option for you.

** IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE FTP SITE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. WE MAY BE ABLE TO HOST & UPLOAD FOR YOU.

*IMPORTANT ==> CURRENT NOTICES:

Track Deadline is SUNDAY 050918-12:00GMT

We are getting CLOSE to the deadline for track submissions...BUT:

...there are a few mates that have decided (early on in this project) that if the double CD went over limits, we would NOT submit our tracks. This means me as well, since it's way more important for the CD to be successfully produced than to have a xander track on it (sorry to our collab buddies if this be the case). This is the best way to ensure we have enough quality tracks and fewer hassels/worries. If those tracks voluntarily removed aren't enough, we'll ask for more volunteers, and I am sure everyone is cool enough about it to volunteer, so we should NOT be worried about the CD length/too many tracks, etc..

We're going to feel much better knowing that the money is going from a CD we produced to help people in desperate need -- a way better feeling than poncing about with a CD going: "I'm somebody! I'm somebody!!"
:hihi:

Bios

...basically it's a free-form thing and should only be about three lines. The bios are needed in projects like this to lend more depth to the track than just it's music, and when the listener see such, they get a more personal feeling about the music. Your name ought to be your chosen professional name. HOWEVER, I have known famous artists to collab on projects like this using fake names so they wouldn't violate their Label contracts. Up to you! :)

Marketing is key for the project to work. Emdot came up with some great ideas a few pages back and those confused about how they can personally help market should take a look back at that post.
Also, you can use this (outdated) flier to help promote the project locally. For example, I got a local gas station to post it on the glass of the main door. I posted one at work and was able to get it circulated at a restaraunt.
We can all surely make an impact by at least posting/circulating at work.

We also still badly need a Marketing team/rep.
Let's keep it up.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

1:30 in the morning on Thursday 15th.

I think I'm FTP'ing my file right now.

It's 24 bit, which I can't even audition on my machine since I'm still with a 16 bit card.

Re-did the whole thing tonight. I don't know whether this works better or not. ToTc, please take a listen and let me know if it's usable or not.

If not, I've got one final chance to get it right, or I ask that my track be pulled. Microphone and pre-amp seemed much noisier tonight than usual.

Hey Scott ==> Nice post. This is the kind of info TOTC needs and he will do whatever he can to make the track shine, as he has done for me in the past.

Cheers & Thanks,

Great news Bakis! Hope you enjoy those awesome CDs mate! :D

...and Good Morning Greece! ;)

Guys could whoever designed the animated banner please re-do it a little slower? It's almost impossible to read as the animation - once the text is fully visible - is moving on again very quickly.
2+ seconds of the text being fully visible in each stage (whenever the 'coming on screen' effect stage is done) would be very nice to have.

thanks for reading!

Bakis, that was quick, didn't expect them to arrive that fast! Hope you enjoy them mate.

Hey guys, just an update here on my track... It's developed quite a bit... Pretty much finished I think.. Here are my last two versions:

Or with some extra reedy stuff...

http://www.tronam.com/griels/moogthang7.mp3

Gonna finalise it this weekend hopefully... And yes this will also double as my Moog contest entry... Any comments welcome :)

No Bagels...

I was going to ask where to get a banner for my new site, but I see that xander kindly included it in the text of one of his posts, so I will just say: Good morning all!

 They're in version 6 but not 7. Was just messing around with arrangements, I think the bagels will make a triumphant return for the final mixdown :D
