Hi
Just starting to discover the possibilities given by controlling the VSTinstruments via the midi commands. I have some questions:
which of the two (midi or automation) has the greater priority?
what are the possible advantages of using the former, the latter and both at once (don't they collide?)
The preferences option Reset on STOP does not seem to work - the instrument knobs stay the way they are - do not get back to the pre-playback settings. What could be wrong?
Thanx
Tom

The last command recieved by a plugin will generallt take effect. Automation and Midi control is usually made of discrete events, so it is not often that the two would operate at exactly the same time.
If you have a controller that sends to the correct CC's then it can be cool to use controls via Midi in real time, and record them.
Reset on stop should kill hung notes, and reset only a few of the 127 controllers (sustain for 1). It is not intended to reset all of them.
