Thanks for the updates, freeztar. Things are really going pretty nicely.

I'm waiting for us to hit that magic pre-order number and we declare a "go when ready" status so I can get back in touch with the music producer from All Things Considered. I sent him an email about the project and he got back to me immediately. No promises of course, but he did ask me to keep him informed. He's a composer/musician as well, and a Reaktor user. But I need something fairly significant to happen before I send him an update. It would be awesome to get a story on National Public Radio. All Things Considered is US-wide and one of the most listened to public radio shows in the country.

freeztar wrote:OK, that should answer all the questions. Sorry I haven't been around as much, my home internet is non-existent right now. That should be fixed soon and I will be back in full swing. Nonetheless, I've been working in the background, talking to various folks. Tomorrow should reveal a lot more details. :)

For those of you that don't know, it is one of the most listened to public programs in the US!!
That is tops!! :D
I realize it's not in cement, but the effort you've put into it might pay off big time. Good job emdot!

The total preorders is 44 now. For the next 24 hours I will match preorders, up to 8 copies. So if you're thinking about it, now is the time! :help:

Well, we'll see. Keep your fingers and toes crossed. I've got two radio pokers in the fire. That one and the N.Virginia/Washington DC cable TV/webcast station. The latter will definitely get us air play once the CD's out. The former is a long shot but definitely one to follow through with. I think the story here is fascinating. Not just from the relief effort angle, but also from the technology side. We often here that technology is tearing society apart; here we see it bringing people from all over the world together for a very concrete and tangible reason. Even as an example of grass-roots organizing, and a truly democratic process, this is a wonderful story. To me, it's right up NPR's alley.

Oh, and mn, LOVE the banners! Thanks for the generous challenge grant, too!

Toes and fingers crossed!

Those are good points about technology. I'm guessing you pitched it to them like that. Perhaps you could do a generic write up similar to what you sent to them so other people can send it out to their local radio stations.

But make not a bond of love
Let it rather be a moving sea
between the shores of your souls

Sing and dance together
and be joyous, but let each
one of you be alone,
even as the strings of a
lute are alone though they
quiver with the same music.
