Will do. I'm calling them now. (fingers crossed)koolkeys wrote:Here's to hoping all goes well! Just tell them you'll accept their price if they will donate part of their profits to the Red Cross. Of course, don't be demanding about it. Just ask them to consider it. That way they don't have to come down any more and they can do a good deed in the process(outside of making a good deal for a good project).

Cool. This is exciting! I am very interested in knowing what the price will be and how many preorders we will need!

The problem may or may not be the server these songs are going to. What kind of ISP are you FTPing from?snooky wrote:HEEEEEEELP!! I can't get the file to the :ftp....the upload is EXTREMELY slow right now...
I did mine from a friend's house using a cable modem and it took about 45 minutes to FTP a 70 MB file. His upload speed is slower than his download speed, but I'm not sure by how much. At the time the server was checked and everything was OK. However, while I was FTPing, my friend was logged on with another PC to some slow-ass sight and we think that dragged it down, plus there must have been a lot of traffic on the cable line as well, 'cause his connect speed was suffering as well.
Not much help, I know, but see if it might be something on your side first. If all else fails, there's still plenty of time to burn it to a CD and snail mail it. PM Koolkeys if you need to go that route.

Try pinging the server and see what kind of response you get. There may be a problem with your ISP or something. I know I had no issues when I uploaded my track and I have a 4600Kbps inbound/600Kbps outbound DSL.

I negotiated with them and they've dropped the price a couple times. The new quote is:

Not only funding, but we've already got profit/relief funds
Freeztar, I know you're waiting on consensus, but lemme know as soon we're finalized on this so I can notify NPR. That's a significant enough leap ahead to send an update.
. . . but we still need 8 more pre-orders to get that copy of BLUE pumped out to one o'you lucky sods!

That is fricking AMAZING!!!!
Yes, go and force friends to sign up for preorders! It's a shame I can't win or I'd buy the remaining 8...
