I'm a musician in bangkok and just bought a real cubase sx3(i mean THE legal one), but i've found myself in a middle of no-how-to-play-keyboard situation. I'd love to do some drum trigger or maybe add some chords in piano or pads.
please give me some advices of plugins info thanx
(sorry, about my english)

Whenever you can scrape the money together, the best option you can eventually come up with is to install a 'synth'/MIDI pickup on your guitar. They usually won't go directly to a MIDI port on your interface, but they will go to a synth "brain" first, which (depending on the unit) might THEN be able to transmit MIDI data to the computer.
I'm not knowledgable enough to recommend a particular solution, but the Roland models seem to be popular.

Y'know, I'd buy a guitar-to-midi ... uh ... pickup (?) converter (?) whatever, but I want to try it first, and ya can't really do that on your fave axe. It's what's really holding the genre back, IMHO. If someone would develop a freeware synth that would work on the guitar, I might just fork over for the real deal, but I'm a guitarist first and a keyboardist second, so I'll continue to sequence on the keyboard and add in the guitar. Although, of course, there are some excellent freeware guitar-to-bass synths I guess...
It's better to burn out...than it is to um..to um...well, something, anyway...

I sold my roland split-p/u & pitch-to-midi rig in a flash once I got that EZ-AG AndrewSimon's talking about. It's not perfect by any means, but it's superior to the pitch-to-midi thing for my purposes and in my experience, and it's as cheap as it looks . . .
Grist for the glamour mill.
