I heard a promo quite a while ago. It's the first DM in a long time that caught me right away. I'm looking forward to the new album. If I remember correctly Dave Gahan wrote three of the songs on it -- the first DM songs he has written in the 24(!) years of the band.

hmm. the look of the video is queesy, so is gahan's voice, at some points painfully so, but i still like the vocals. the lyrics are cheesy, but i do like the beginning of the chorus.

the sounds don't seem to gel all the way - and that i really like. it feels lonely, yet happy - in that regard like 'enjoy the silence', pretty much dance music for suicidals. there are some cellphone-like sounds and other faux-glitches in there that i really like, too.

all in all i found myself liking the song more and more, especially the sound of it, the feeling of instruments not quite geling (?) all the time, but neither the video nor the lyrics really touched me.

Personally, I thought it was a typically brilliant DM track. True, it's distinctly DM, but they do it so well.

I'm sure the album will be as good as the others, although Black Celebration, Music For The Masses & Violator will take some beating

I've heard the second single, "A pain that i'm used to...
It's completely different of "Precious".
Darker, heavier, a real stomper..A classic Mode Track...Really excellent!!!
Not as "Synth poppy" as Precious.
Think Violator/song of Faith
All the people who had a listen at the new album, said that "precious" is completely different from the rest of the new tracks.
I can't wait!!!!

Hell yes I've heard it. I have the 'unfinished' video still resident on my hard-drive as well. I love it.

I can't wait for the Chicago tickets to go on sale so I can snag one up (and then book a train, heh.)
