Look at the Inspector:
- in the Track Parameters tab you can randomise
- in the Inserts tab you can use TrackFX aswell
you can randomise position, velocity, pitch and length in the range you want. the disadvantage being IMO that it would be better to have a more musical way to humanise.

Is there a webpage explaining how to use VST midi plugins in Cubase? How's it hooked up?
You have to install them with a command line tool, after that you should be ready to go IIRC.
I presume you allready know you can only use them in the MIDI plug-in slots in the Inspector?

It took me a little time to figure out how to route a midi VST such as Tobybear's Humaniser in Cubase. It was a little tricky since I was working with Reason's NN-XT (rewired in Cubase) as well. One annoying thing was that I couldn't hear the results unless I activated the "record ready" button, or the "monitor" button on the destination midi track. Tobybear's Humaniser worked well, but I think I need to find something that will shift the timing in smaller increments (I couldn't get below 3ms).
I have yet to try out some MFX plugins I found, which needed the MFX wrapper from Steinberg. They should undoubtedly be easier to use (i.e. less routing senarios, though I may need to modify my setup in Reason) For anyone interested, here's a site for midi plugins.
