having a new web space powered by audioshots, I spent few minutes trying all those juicy web tools offered.

checking the stats tools I've noticed I had a referral from this whois.sc site.

I've curiosed a bit and noticed that all the fcuking infos I submitted to get my space&domain are displayed with no mercy. I mean, I got nothing to hide...but is this legal? :x
I can bet this has nothing to do with Sp3d/audioshots, anyway the more I think of it, the more I'm pissed.
maybe it's nothing special, whois has some kind of anti-spam policy...anyway, my infos should be available on demand through my hosters, not for all the planet to see. fcuk again.

I think you can change that. Contact them and ask how. Still provide a reasonable contact information (email which you do read, but still recieve spam on) and tell them that you will do that. I am not sure about the address though. (the "material" spam :)

WHOIS information for domain names has traditionally always been available and on display (there are tons of WHOIS search sites out there that tap into this data, too, like www.betterwhois.com and www.geektools.com). To quote NetSol's glossary site:
When you register a domain name, your address, e-mail and phone number are published in the public WHOIS database. ICANN requires this personal information to be available for anybody to view on the Web.
Some domain registrars, however, offer a Private Registration option...for example, NetSol will post alternate contact information, such as a NetSol postal address (I believe they won't forward on anything to you that's received at the address unless it's registered mail), a NetSol email address that changes every 10 days, and a NetSol phone number, for $9 a year.
I wouldn't be surprised if other domain registrars are starting to do this kind of thing as well.
