Marxism/Leninism is surely not your special area.
Socialism is a pre-stage on the way to communism.
As long capitalism exists, socialism is a bollwerk against the EVIL of stinky imperialism (last stage of capitalism).
As soon the imperialism is died, the communism can be initaited and developed on the entire world.

Dude, it's NOT my area of specialty, you're right. English Letters and Education are my specialties. However, that doesn't make me an uneducated fool or lacking knowledge. It DOES make me a kick-ass bullshit-detector, mind you, and you're stepping in a big steaming pile of it right now.
I gotta admit, I WAS wrong about the definition-- so you DID get that part of it right. Whereas communism eliminates a centralized government, socialism still has one. It's been a while since I studied Marx, so I was making a false assumption that socialism was an umbrella category encompassing communism. My mistake definitely. Can't split hairs about that, it's straight up my mistake.
You could have walked away having scored that point against me, but then the rest of it... phooo boy... when it all comes rushing back at you, it sure comes rushing back at you. And now I see brown smelly stuff all over the place.

National-socialism is a completely different thing. (associated with brown usually). And has not that much common with what we discussed above.
It was in fact much closer to imperialism (the final stage of capitalism).

Communism would be great if people could be trusted. Unfortunately, everyone seems to be out for their own benefit so that eliminates that option. Capitalism sucks too, but I guess we're just waiting for someone to come up with a beter solution.;-) wrote:Bullshit.Lunch Money wrote:Wait, communism IS a form of socialism.

As soon the imperialism has died inside it's own piss and shit, the communism can be initaited and developed on the entire world.
Then all are equal (no rich no poor). Money don't exist anymore. Music is completely free.
Communism has quite something common with "heaven" (in theory).![]()

Also, auto-tune sucks, but thats just because I cant afford it. It would be nice to be able to make a slightly out of tune vocal work instead of having to keep doing retakes. Nothing ever beats the real thing though.

Yes, in general I think he's a cool guy, really. And no, I don't envy him. Not his success (which is simply zero right now in this plugin area) and I don't envy his work. In fact I'm VERY interested in a VERY GOOD amp sim. And he says that he's devoloping such a thing for a lot of moons now.
Then he comes along, throws something together in a very short time and claims that it's better than something commercially available with a hefty price tag. THIS is it what's rediculous about all that, his plugin is not even finished nor fully tested (very buggy) doesn't sound the way the original does but he claims it is indistinguishable. Man, come on! He even gives me the link to the original one and tells me to compare it. Now if this is not destined to fail I don't know how someone who wants to sell me plugins can fail worse. Oh, wait there was someone who was way worse but that's something else.
If he on the other side would have said "Hey guys, I made something that can do similar things than XYZ but it's not finished yet. Someone want to give it a try?" THAT would have been OK. NO, He gives out a 3 day demo of an unfinished plugin and suggests me to donate 10 somethings for it WHEN IT'S FINISHED. That's the only clue I got about it being not ready. But yes, it's already indistinguishable ...
Best wishes, FRitz
In the end will be the word.
