seems i get violation errors with every voxengo demo i try in Live 5 at the moment. every time i move my mouse over the GUI's, this little error window pops up.

anyone know what could be wrong?

i really like to try these babies out. :?

Post

I will check this out, sorry for the trouble... But it may well be Live5's error, of course, as most other hosts work fine.

thanks Aleksey
it seems to be only me who are having trouble with this, so im re-checking my computer setup to see if there could be anything failing there.
still havent found anything unusual about it tho.

word on the street is that voxengo stuff is stable all over, so it might just as well be Live who dont like my Scope card. :?

I've checked this out in Live 5.0.1 demo. No problems of this kind - everything works like in all other hosts I usually test in.

I've tried some voxengo demo's with live & a scope card (in xtc mode) & they were fine, win xp no service packs tweaked to buggery with minimal services etc.

BTW, I do use WinXP SP2 - no problems there. I also do not usually use any additional services - only antiviral software working in the background.

oh, i couldnt even get my XTC plugins to work in XTC mode and Live. in SX2 they work flawlessy tho.

WinXP SP2 here to. only zonealarm in the background and Scope of course. (as XTC dont work for me..)

i have the feeling a reinstall is coming up. :drunk:

update:
i somehow got Live to work in XTC mode (with 14ms latency instead of 7ms tho?),
but the voxengo things still aint working.

I would highly recommend not running zonealarm or similar security software on a DAW (including anti virus for the sake of performance), and instead not grant the daw access to the internet (or put it behind a NAT router that lets you keep all netbios things within your LAN, with the router blocking any form of access to that to/from the outside world).
For all I know it could be ZA preventing access to some files which causes this error, worth a try anyway.
