Track Deadline

We are getting CLOSE to the deadline {Sunday, 050918} for track submissions...BUT:

...there are a few mates that have decided (early on in this project) that if the double CD went over limits, we would NOT submit our tracks. This means me as well, since it's way more important for the CD to be successfully produced than to have a xander track on it (sorry to our collab buddies if this be the case). This is the best way to ensure we have enough quality tracks and fewer hassels/worries. If those tracks voluntarily removed aren't enough, we'll ask for more volunteers, and I am sure everyone is cool enough about it to volunteer, so we should NOT be worried about the CD length/too many tracks, etc..

We're going to feel much better knowing that the money is going from a CD we produced to help people in desperate need -- a way better feeling than poncing about with a CD going: "I'm somebody! I'm somebody!!"


Bios

We should have posted some guidelines on this, but basically it's a free-form thing and should only be about three lines. The bios are needed in projects like this to lend more depth to the track than just it's music, and when the listener see such, they get a more personal feeling about the music. Your name ought to be your chosen professional name. HOWEVER, I have known famous artists to collab on projects like this using fake names so they wouldn't violate their Label contracts. Up to you!

Just thought I'd add some thoughts and another thanks to Rob Papen of Albino/Blue fame and Aleksey of Voxengo.

The Voxengo tools are the only tools available I know of that either equal or surpass the far more expensive 'Waves' bundles, and if you've never tried the amazing Voxengo 'Curve EQ', for instance, you aren't being fair to yourself or your music, IMHO, as well as the other Voxengo audio toolsets.

When we reach 100 pre-orders, we can have our CD booklet and incredible artwork done up top notch, as well as afford additional advertising using wonderful poster art being contributed to our KVR effort from all over the world.

At this point, I am simply stunned at the number of people and companies that are asking to get on board and support our humble effort -- it is taking me almost 4 hours solid each day JUST to answer the email and PMs I receive, let alone keep everyone updated and work on me own weeny little song.

We of KVR are doing a very valuable piece of work here to help a devastated city -- the 'City Of Jazz', and I am so proud of you all -- as well as amazed -- at the quality of the music going on the CD. It just shows that, beyond the arguments and flames and flare-ups WE ALL get into now and then, when crunch time rolls around, we can pull together to do something with our music that may give someone the opportunity to survive a disease, or pay for another kidney dialysis treatment, buy a destitute family some warm coats or some shoes -- maybe a decent meal or maybe even help repair their home or fix a wheelchair.

One day, wherever you are now, you may find yourself walking through Jackson Square, the French Quarter, the Market, and you'll look around and you'll be able to tell ANYONE (as well as yourself): "I helped rebuild this place with my KVR mates."

NO effort is too small -- trust me on this.
