Hey all,
I am new here please excuse my dumb questions.
I have SOnar 3 studio, which has no remote control options for plugins except using a automation envelope that you draw in.
Does anyone know of a Chainer type or Synth rack type VST(I) plugin thats free that will alow me to load a plugin and control it via midi controller?
(If my question is confusing please let me know)
Thanks for any help way in advance!

try this... www.plogue.com and download BIDULE -- it's still in beta and has a free download. It a modular package that allows you to load and chain (and control) as many VST's and VSTi's as you can find.
The routing possibilities are endless.

You can send controllers to wrapped VSTis in Sonar...
If you're talking about effects, run the wrapper again, and for each effect you wish to send controllers to, check enable as DXi in the properties. Then, you can route a MIDI track to it.

Rik,
I've got Sonar 4PE, so can't help you, but have you posted at the Sonar forum?
I'd be very surprised if you didn't get a definitive answer very quickly from another Sonar 3 Studio user.
