I agree that the means of access is not prominent but this little panel has been introduced on many other PSP plugs - the latest versions of the Mix Pack plugs and 42/84 Delays for example have the same system.omo wrote:Oh, thanks for the hint. This thing sounds very classy indeed - good stuff Hubert.omo wrote:Strange plug-in. Too difficult to operate, takes too long to set-up for a simple effect and there's no presets in demo version.

OK - props to Piotr thenhubert.psp wrote:thanks for your appreciation, but this time it was not me! 608 was created by Piotr Dmuchowski, our new member - he's been working on it for quite a long time now and agree that his products kicks ass.

Well I was the first to buy this plugin and it is quite nice.
However the lack of modulating the delays is an extreme pitty. For me the point of a multitap is to set up textures - which means selective modulation of some of the delay lines. I had hoped I could replicate many of my eventide effects with this. Oh well - maybe you could get Piotr to put some more work in it... for me a glaring omission.
The structure is quite nice and very easy to use. The GUI works for me, but I would gladly have traded much of the added processes for interpolating lines...
Please don't get me wrong - you can do very nice textures I just have a penchant for a slight wobble.. And cudos to the team ! I am enjoying this way too much ! It is worth every penny !

So, as I spent about an hour with it, here's my personal opinion to it, just mine, maybe different to others...
First of all, PSP, I wonder what's going on in your minds to release a demo version that stops every 15s for 5s. Awful, unnecessary, quiet stupid! Sorry, I think this is contraproductive and brings just nothing. Please change this!
Ok, here's what I liked and what I didn't. This is not a review. It's just my first impression.
Positives:
- Sound is very amazing. Esp. filters sound great.
- Functionality is great, very flexible, you can get almost every delay application out of it, from standard to totaly unusual...
- the GUI is very good, relly easy to use. Maybe some confusing at the first time, but after a while, it's getting very clear
- the link function is very handy, esp. the kept relation when changing linked delay times. This is great, if you created a pattern and quickly want it e.g. half or double as fast.
Negatives:
- very high cpu consumption: even a single delay with no options, no reverb, uses ~10% on my P4/2533 !! All possible options turned on, it's raising up to ~40%. What's going on here?
- no delay line modulation
- reverb: decay time can't be set to shorter settings (iow shortest possible time is still too long for me), spring reverb sounds not really like spring...
- no phase invert options (perhaps the wide knob, it's not very clear in the manual, what it really does)
To sum up, for me it's not that thing I was looking for, mainly because of the high cpu load. You just have to think about using it each time, so it's right for special effects but not for allday purposes. In addition, I really miss a delay line modulation...
That's it for the moment.

Who is general failure? And what is he doing on my harddisc?
