eol-ing ? :?
Sorry. "End-of-line"-ing. In other words, it seems they have no plans for future updates. :(

It hasn't been updated for ages. It's still a great sample player, though.

Yes, too bad you missed the GPO group buy, it was a good deal and has a lot of the instruments you mention. It uses the Kontakt player, but cannot be expanded, though.

Cheers, but it's US only....and I'm in the UK.

Think I'm going to try Halion Player anyway.

mmm...actually Halion Player for only £70 seems like a no-brainer....could also pick up Philharmonik and be under budget...
or GPO?...missed out on that recent Group Buy didn't I.
And then you could also purchase the chicken translator 'HALion only' edition.. and still be under budget! This way you get the flexibility to play almost all leading formats within halion.

If they do I haven't heard about it...and I have NI Komplete 2 w/Komplete Care.

Suppose then they don't... But I think i read somewhere that they plan to switch to keys with the release of Amplitube 2 and all...

Future IK's products will need to have the "key" inserted to the USB port in order for it to run. Copy protection...it's sad to see that more and more companies use this for their protection...they need to do what they need to do I guess. So far, I'm still OK with it...but when I have to install 10s of these thing...who knows!

As far as NI is concern, I think they're sticking to their orgional protection scheme...you send in your computer id/key and they register your computer as one license, I think you get 2 at any given time. You can always de-authorize it if needs be.

Thanks,
Yes the key costs another £20.

Managed to pick a copy of Kompakt cheap (£79).
So this eliminates the need for Chicken Systems Translator.

Also looking at www.projectsam.com brass samples which sound nice and aren't too expensive.

Still possibly considering GPO/Philharmonik but I'll wait for Kompakt to arrive first.
