New beta version is available, with the following change log:
1. "U" attack mode implemented which offers steeper compressor attack and release stages, for more instant reaction.
2. It is now possible to disable side-chaining completely in hosts which do not fully support VST 2.3 functionality (4 channel input support).

I'm liking this new attack A LOT!! Shows pretty well that a huge amount of compression 'character' comes from the shape of the attack too, not just the transfer curve as a whole.
Cheers!

Aleksey, would it be possible to add a knob to control the amount of distortion you get from the various valve and crisp modes? As it is now I can't use them because my favourite settings on the compressor involves having high input gain which makes the distortion algo go berserk.

haha.. i take that back!
now it doesnt work anymore.
it worked before i installed a bunch of my default vst plugins, so right now im uninstalling them, one by one to see wich one who may cause the conflict. as it looks now, none of them makes any difference.
mooost strange this error i gotta say.. im very bruzzled by this memory leak, or what it is.

ok, ive solved the mystery.
i may sound a bit annoying with all my msg's, but this little info may help someone out there, so i'll share my solution.
in the end, i found that running I.Scribe, made my voxengo demos get Access Violation errors just by moving yer mouse over the GUI.
so, by simply turning i.scribe off, everything works like a charm.

dunno why i didnt try this in the first place tbh, but to my defense, i usually have i.scribe in the task bar, and it autoloads with windows.
couldnt imagine it would have such a influence tho, now i know better.
