Yeah, this is definitely a good thread. No pie-in-the sky requests, just suggestions for minor but significant improvements.

Right-click on a Seq track header selects the track.
But right-click on a Seq part does NOT select the part.

The Snap mode button does not stay pressed when you change from Relative to Absolute or back again.
- I suggest using the "unpressed" state for Absolute Snapping and the "pressed" state for Relative Snapping
- and please keep the vertical and horizontal arrows.

Version 1.3.0 21-april-05
- Multi-take audio loop recording
Can't midi work the same way as audio with several parts in the same clip for multi takes?

That always trips me up when trying to right-click then delete.DarkStar wrote:But right-click on a Seq part does NOT select the part.
I'll add: can click and move the left edge of a midi part, but not a midi note.

In the composer "Slice Notes" and "Random Notes," only if fill is OFF, work on the selected notes while all the other functions (fade! and other randomize functions) work on all notes in the clip, even if you have selected just a few.

- mouse wheel zooming (while hovering over the time line) in the midi/audio parts the same as in the sequencer

Clicking a note in the midi editor / pianoroll does not select it in the event list, but shift-click and click-drag do.
I'll care about this more once I figure out whether it's possible to do anything with the event list. I used to use the event list all the time in Logic, but never in Cubase . . .

MIDI Learn in the Sampler uses the little piano keyboard icon, but does not use Ctrl+click or middle-click.
Elsewhere Ctrl+click or middle-click are used, but (now) not the keyboard icon.

- Ctrl and + should zoom to fit the current selection to the screen in the midi and audio parts
The zoom function is the same to that of the sequencer in all respects except this one.
- Make it so that you can draw a selection square to select multiple points in the envelope comp, and audio part envelope editing
For ease of use and consistency with the envelope tracks in the sequencer.

Open->New->Sequencer - currently creates a docked sequencer that isn't maximised
When you dock the sequencer manually, it fills the entire docking space (good, imo), but when you select "New Sequencer Project" from the Main File Area, you get a docked sequencer that needs to be manually maximised?

Now that we can add Insert FX to VST comps, Sampler comps and Audio Part comps, I think there should be a "Send MIDI to Insert FX" choice in the right- click menu.
(just as there is for VSTis, Sampler instruments and audio tracks added to the Sequencer)

In the Audio Clip Editor, could we have repeated horizontal scroll when pressing down on the horizontal scroll arrows
(as in the Audio Part Editor and elsewhere)
Repeated clicks are a pain and unnecessary.

one little one that's bothered me:
Delete key will not delete selected components in main window
