Hello anyone
I really need a simple lfo effect working as vst. Searched a long time with no success. The idea is to be playing any vsti and use the vst lfo.
thanks

WHat host do you use? Maybe it comes with (or supports) MIDI FX?

i made one called CCLFO, v2 of which is available on this page.
i'd not attempted anything involving presets in synthedit at that time, so i don't know if it recalls your settings at all :S but it's fully functional and great for playing around with.
when i get some time and more practise i'll code up a proper one!

if you're using FL, you'll need to make sure that you've got the LFO's output port set to the same as your synth's input port, and then of course make sure that the CC number of the lfo matches the control you want to modulate.

"LFO" is a modulation source, normally to be applied to a target like pitch, volume, filter, etc. LFO by itself is not an effect, but merely the "Low Frequency Oscillator".

FL's Peak Controller has an LFO you can hook up to other parameters, and there's also the Formula Controller, which should cover anyone's LFO needs - providing you can handle the maths (there are some simple example presets to get you going though).

hmmm.....
could you be perhaps looking for an LFO controlled autofilter?
the classic series by Kjerhaus is the best!
look in the dropdown menu.

The only way to do it is like the other guy said: you have to get an lfo that changes a midi value and your host has to be able to rout midi to the vsti from the lfo vst. What host are you using? eXT is a host thats good for this type of thing.

well, by nature the LF part means that it's usually sub-audio
so it's really a modulation source. but now i'm being picky

Hmm that's interesting. Does anyone know anything about the filter on it? Does acts as a filter on the audio it's being used to affect? Or does it filter the LFO, which, with some resonence would make a very unusual effect when routed to something like a filter cut-off? There's no information on the site.rivrock wrote:This might be what your looking for, scroll down to, Filter control 2
