good point about Breakbeat Era,,,, that was a great 1st album they did. That female singer has a wicked voice. I like ESG (Emerald saphire gold), wish they were around. They were a rock band from the Bronx who were fundamental in creating hip-hop. They had a song called "UFO", that I believe is the most commonly sampled song in Hip-Hop history. Check out some ESG if you get a chance. it is awesome.

I saw Tripping Daisy here in Houston back in 94. Great Show that.

The Non-Events!

What a great band they weren't!

Good call - they're (were!) a great band.

Blood ov thee Christ
though they've now reformed and started performing again.

Back in the 80's, TG, Sutcliffe Jugend, and MB had all called it quits by the time I discovered them - all have started recording again since.

I could name loads of obscure folks that just released one tape or something and then promptly dissapeared.

Stop it, you're making me think of the new Samael! :x

:hihi:
Snippets from Samael's "Baphomet's Throne", circa 1994:

"Each blaspemy is another stone to the edifice of your glory"

"To be your messiah on earth
And to sit at your left in hell"

"I'll be the supreme insult
Which will forevermore soil the image of god"

"Show me the way,
To reach one day the Baphomet's throne..."

Snippets from Samael's "Telepath", circa 2005:

"Nothing is impossible
Nothing is unreachable"

"Isn't it phenomenal
Don't you think it's magical"

"Fear's got no place around here"

"World peace is getting nearer..."

Notice a slight change in tone? What the hell happened to my favorite satanic swiss industrial metal band? Somehow they turned into happy inspirational electronica... :x

I don't use drugs, nor do I agree with them. However, I think someone needs to get these guys some PCP and an Alice Cooper anthology and lock them in a studio with a couple synths and some power tools until they remember how to satanic industrial metal.
Excuse all the blood.
