I keep getting messages like this at random times, usually when using Sonar 4 or certain plugins are trying to be loaded... I also had this problem with trying to use the Tracktion Demo .. and with some other apps ..

WTF is going on ? Does anyone know ? I don't want to find out my drive is going bad the hard way .. So hopefully thats not what it is.

you have to narrow it down. I suggest this- Take a can of electronics duster and blow out yer pc with the memory and cards removed. reseat the memory and cards, and then reboot. If it still occurs, download a memory test. After that, you may want to look into winders/drivers/virus/spyware problems, and possibly reloading the OS. post yer results after you do the above and we can help further.

You'd think that being an MCSA myself I would be able to figure this all out lol ... Thanks for the Advice. My Computer's Clean, I had a Keylogger on my system (makes me paranoid about people here now) and the typical tracking cookies .. My event logs showed the keylogger wasnt installed when the problems started.. also didnt stop after removing it .. Norton hasn't detected any Viruses, Registry Cleaner has not detected any Registry problems aside from some missing programs (things I uninstalled) which isnt a problem .....

There are no new Drivers installed since this has been occuring, however....... I might try running Norton from the command prompt with an old Startup Disk if I nothing else fixes things ...

Check Disk does not detect any errors on the disk either...

The temperature of the RAM isn't above normal according to speed fan. Though something in the computer is a little high that it doesn't report the name for (its not a drive, cpu, or ram though so i dunno)

Reloading the OS is the last thing I wanna do but It might be what I have to do.

Lots to try ... A lot of it seems to be related to loading of DLLs..

I also had the same error type occur in paintshop since last posting this .. and When trying to remove something from the recyling bin ........... ) :

So i dunno

BTW know of any good testers for that ?

I suspect your RAM has become defective.
I'd start by running a memory tester, like memtest86 (dot com)
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

It wouldn't suprise me, I got an Alienware because the price couldn't be beat customized correctly with parts from my old Dell .. for a Workstation with Dual 3.20 Ghz Xeons and 2GB DDR2 RAM etc.. Alienware makes their own RAM and it is Cheap shit. The computer has been great otherwise ... very powerfull and wonderfull latency with tons of shit running at once.

I've been dreading, not wanting to think the RAM went bad ... but I do know that memory read problems often point to that ... The thing that makes it seem more like a HD problem would be the sector references in some of them... BUT who knows ?

OK SO HERE IS WHAT I HAVE TRIED:

- Download spybot, adaware, and ran those along with spysweeper. Got some things I didnt before that each program found the other didn't

- Ran a virus scan with mcafee nothing came up
- Ran a virus scan with Norton nothing came up

- All of my Drivers seem to be in order, no hardware conflicts.

- I downloaded some Drive and Memory testing programs .. most werent vert good .. said the HD was fine

- Diskeeper started bitching at me when I went to check my defrag saying my MFT settings have become too low on all my drives (odd thing to happen) so IT MAY BE the ram since the computer seems to be relying on the paging files more than normal.

- checked my startup programs

- cleaned my registry again

- uninstalled some things

- cleared up some space (even though I have 125GB free space anyways on Disk 0)

- And well I'm about to test the ram... at least if it's the ram It's under Warranty and I will get new Ram for free.

wonderfull. you should have start with memtest-x86 to test the memory, than check your pc for crapware.

I'm still having the problem ... Here is all what I have tried so far .... Anyone have any suggestions

Just so we don't go in circles I will tell you what I have already done:
- Ran Spybot , Adaware, Webroot Spyweeper, and removed any spyware (mainly
tracking cookies) they all found.
- Ran Norton Anti-Virus and Then McAfee Anti-Virus no viruses were found.
- Ran "Hijack this" to make sure there were no suspicious registry entries
and to scan for spyware/worms etc. .. none were found
- No computer hardware has been added or any drivers installed recently
enough to be the problem. There are no conflicts or errors etc..
- Check Disk did not find any errors on the disk.
- I ran a program called Memtest 86 , the test ran for nearly 30 hours and
did not report any errors, but the test did not complete and it also did not
support the Chipset anyways.
- I have 125GB of Free Space on Disk 0 ... plenty on me external drives as
well.
- I have checked the temperature of everything in the computer using
programs like speed fan, nothing is over heated to my knowledge.
- I Ran Registry Cleaner and repaired some minor registry errors

Also:
- I used the Diagnostic tools for my specific Hard Drives no Errors
- I used the RAM tester provided by microsoft. No Errors.

BUT NO USE I keep getting those messages and even messages on programs like AOL that I cannot do something because I am out of memory, other programs act the same way (like paintshop).

Memtest 86 did not like my chipset, but also reported no errors. My list of thingsI did aren't in any order btw

Swap file is memory as well, don't forget. Try swapping your memory around in the banks, and/or run with fewer DIMM's if you can.

Also, caution about compressed air to blow out a system. If you blow it into the bearings on the fans, you can count on replacing them VERY soon. ;)

Swap it around in the banks ? Like the physical slots or ? I'm not quite gathering what you said to do (sorry lol recovering from a 48 hour gig and hotel party)

Yes, the physical slots. If the errors goes away, you could very well have a bad DIMM.

Are you sure its not a program which has a pretty serious memory leak?
