Anyone having success with this? Ive tried the demo and could not get it to work with midi , I even followed a few of the tutorials, sadley they cover everything except how to get my midi to work with my vsts, even the vst page is kinda funny to get to as its named pre and post effects. I have assignd my midi properly already thru the handy in/out on the main audio/midi tab. Im a Sonar user and I used the exact same midi method to set it up as I have done in sonar but when I route my vst thru post effects I get no midi response at all. for what seems like a very nice product Ide like it to simply play with my Kurzwiel midi keyboard via the midi ins & outs but its so hidden or not up front in the begining that I cant even use this product.

You can use VSTi:s with or without Midi Workshop. Just patch the VSTi in the fx pre, click on the triangle in the VSTi window and choose midi input. Then hit the play button in the transport bar (or right-click in the multitrack window), or put Saw studio in live mode (by right-clicking on the triangle). Otherwise you won't get any sound because the sound engine isn't active when the program is idle. For info on how to get it to work with Midi Workshop, check the manual, available at sawstudio.com or check the user forum, sawstudiouser.net.

It lets you use VSTi's.loomchild wrote:I think that saw studio itself won't let you use vst instrument but effects only. They have a seperate product for that, called "Midi Workshop"?
