I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that could be used to display virtual LEDs that are triggered by MIDI messages. Also, having the ability to move around the virtual lights, re-assign their MIDI controller values, and change colors would be a plus. I'm trying to design a light show for a client, but right now, the only testing method I have is with the on-stage lights and the lighting console. I may be able to develop something myself, but I don't even know of a good (free) program for that. I'm using Nuendo 3.0 to control the MIDI data while syncing it to backing tracks and video. A VST plug-in would work great, but I just don't know where to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

An easy and quick way would be to use an html document with the midix ocx. Using buttons and changing the colors on midi messages.
You would set the midi out in your host to a virtual midi driver (yoke, maple,..).
The code can be written in vbscript or java.

That sounds incredibly cool. Could you say more about this? (And the MIDIX in your .sig is the one you're talking about?)

Hi, yes that's the one.
If you can give me some more info, I could get you started with the basic app (I have some templates I could use).
1) Are you switching the lights just on and off or you want to set the intensity using MIDI.
2) Do you have an example of the MIDI you are sending ? Notes, CC ?
