I think the Katrina CD roster is done. Should we start a separate project for Hurricane Rita relief? At the rate of storms this season, we may make it up to "Vince." ...Katrina, Vince & Rita. Creepy, huh?

I don't think we need another CD for Rita, although it looks as though it will need help. But you don't want to flood everyone here with multiple projects that are going to the same charities for similar reasons.
The Red Cross and HFH will definately be helping out with Rita, and any money donated to them will probably be used wherever needed according to timing and all.
Maybe we should add a blurb on the website that some of the money may go to Rita relief also, according to how the charities deem necessary. Besides, it looks as though Rita may effect New Orleans also. They say that with only 3 inches of rain, it could break the levies AGAIN, which is devastating.
I'm so happy things are going this well. Almost all songs are uploaded, but we are still missing several. Please upload as soon as you can. If it's production troubles that are delaying you, just remember that this is bigger than a professional production. This is about helping people as soon as possible. So don't be over-picky about the songs. It's about the help that you are giving by donating in the first place. Good job everyone.

When I was making banners I thought it was too cute to make them say KVR = Katrina Virtual Relief or something along those lines, but I couldn't resist the storm name initialization. And I do think as sure as oil prices will rise and tolerance decrease there will be heavier weather ahead.
I am still working on my piece and will have it ready by the deadline. It's looking to be under 4 minutes and very *me* sounding - piano, drums, my favorite bass synth patch, lots of electronics but I doubt any vocals or samples - the working title is "Blackwater." I realize I'm coming into this late so if there isn't room or it doesn't fit in I'll understand.

I apologize for being a bit crap with uploading a master..
It's been almost a week since I've listened to my song so hopefully I'll be in a position now to do some last minute mixing with fresh ears tonight, and I'll upload it then.....

I just had a listen to all the tracks in teh list...some truly exellent stuff!!
my thought was, maybe cd1 could have the rock/pop/soul/blues tunas on it and cd2 could be all electronical? or will they be mixed as to fit the mood?
