Hi
I've been used asio/vst based hosts, effects and instruments for guitar practise and live performance. I use m-audio mobilepre usb for soundcard and Radium49 for midi interface/controller with windows pc. I try to find a host that suitable for this purpose and each has some pros and cos but none of them are good enough. I'm looking for a host can do followings;
-must stable
-low cpu usage (not be a sequencer),
-two signal chain for use two independed instrument,
-can load vst, vsti (even GUI-less ones)
-can playback mp3 and wma (I've 40 gb of wma archive and i can't play with them because asio access soundcard exclusively and only way is play them inside host or vst effect instrument)
-can controlable with joystick
-average price
Any advise will be helpfull

Console is pretty good as a stable host for this kind of thing. It doesn't have an internal sampler, but a sampler VSTi will do the trick.

thanks for advice, Console is amazing. Pin based routing is great idea. I can paralelize amp plugins and this gives lot of tone alternative. I can use mijoy for joystick and with pin conection i don't need midiyoke virtual midi device anymore. Only thing left is wma playback. Do you know any vsti to do that?

I use a USB audio device and I have no trouble getting WMA to play through MediaPlayer. You just need to set it as you default audio device in Control Panel.
BTW, you should realise that spaceman is an idiot and was taking the piss. ORION cannot play WMA files.

hi bones
i already ignore orion. i'm working on CONSOLE and EnergyXT.
I already use my notebook soundcard as default soundcard but i had to wired it to maudio to do that because i usually use headphone.

Another (BIG) vote for EnergyXT. It can do a lot more than you need now. But it'll do what you need without any problems. And the other possibilities in XT will keep you exploring and inventing - not a bad thing
