Coolness. I've got a set of cassettes from the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, based on the Peterson Field Guide to Birds. Found it in a flea market. No fleas, just bird songs.
At another flea market or antique store I bought a partial collection of TINY (one inch, or 2.5 cm, square!!! really) vinyl phono records with bird songs on them. Never tried to play them.
zeoy: Arrgh, you beat me to it!

A sampling project that would require the type of patience the world has never witnessed!Meffy wrote:No fleas

Nice!
The Steller's Jay sample is very reminiscent for me. It reminds me of the high desert of New Mexico. With a little bit of filtering it would make a really cool guiro! Too bad they make you promise not to alter or modify the samples before you download. Alas, not very usable, but great for reference.
