Has anyone created some interesting, new, patches for SS2 with all those "elements" provided?? Would like to see if there is a user base of people who are taking advantage of the "capabilities" of this synth. I keep hearing this is one of the "pluses" of this instrument, but so far no "examples" of this in action?

:)

yeah a while back i made some combis and i'm not sure where they are now but i'll dig them up for you. the problem with my combis is that i wasnt respecting memory usage and such. so my combis werent designed very well in that regard they were just overload

Here's a thread where you can find some combis: http://www.sonikelementz.com/forum/view ... ad99ab5984

As for the ones I did that are listed in that thread, I, like Mr. Tunes, wasn't concerned with CPU usage when I did them so they tend to be pretty taxing on your system, but probably no worse than a lot of Z3ta+ patches are. Plus in retrospect I should have cranked the volume up more.

yeah i forgot about those. Frunobulax made great ones I find them really useful when i'm working on soundtracks as a starting point here and there. i still havent used any straight out of the box i'll let you know if i do Fruno

More are needed IMO. The existing ones are not much use for me.

Any requests? You want atmospheric pads or vintage classic rock combis or what? We're about to unleash a whole bunch of free ones for everybody! Plus a few other things planned for SS2 that will go along with a future update.

Other than the lead sound for AYGWM..... :D.... I am not really sure what exactly I want but so far I am not finding anything in the SS2 combis that gets me going as compared to he sounds I have in WusikStation 2 which I find very inspiring. One type of sound which comes to mind though would be evolving pad combis.

Thanks,
Gordon

Squids, I'd love to get the combi for that Yes thing you did back when SS first came out. You had some Wakeman type moog sounds, and some cool organs. I thought you did a great job on that one.

Also, if you could do some Tony Banks type sounds, like the lead sound from Follow You Follow Me.

I think almost anything vintage is good!! ;)

Yeah more Genesis - I'd like something reminiscent of Cinema Show and that wonderful ecstatic guitar in Firth of Fifth please :)

I have to say... running SS2, basic, classic synth waves through Camel Space is downright easy and rewarding as far as "instant gratifcation" patches! Try it, if you have Camel Space... If you don't, Get It!

As for me... make mine Ambient pads... :)

Vintage.

& Atmospheric.

Funny you should mention that. I just spent a couple of hours today running the combis that Frunobulax had so graciously made with SS2 though CamelSpace. Whatta trip. Endless possibilities. I love SS2 but with CamelSpace it's even better....like SS2 on steroids. And with Live's ease of midi-->audio routing/clipping/warping it's like instant loop library time.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, argue about it on k-v-r
