I have just upgraded to Protools 6.9.2.

VERIFY
Rewire DDL ... ... ..... something else

Using G5, OSX.4.2
Pro tools LE
Have reinstalled Protools twice now to no effect.

yes this is posted in the wrong place but all i can say to help is:
if you go to http://www.digidesign.com ... then click "support" then "tech support" you're going to have to sift through a million tech documents that digidesign writes every week. it shows a bit about how their software works, very finnicky and only works properly on specific machines/OS setups.
it could be that there's a known issue with G5s and rewire
