not exactly sure where to post this but i'm wondering if there are any stochastic midi plugins around eg. similar to plogue bidule's stochastic module. i'm thinking it would be cool to hold down a combination of notes but the midi plugin randomly chooses which midi notes and when to play them in user definable boundaries eg. every 8th note, synced or not, play probabilty 70% etc.

Why not just use Plogue Bidule? It's very inexpensive.bovinator wrote:not exactly sure where to post this but i'm wondering if there are any stochastic midi plugins around eg. similar to plogue bidule's stochastic module. i'm thinking it would be cool to hold down a combination of notes but the midi plugin randomly chooses which midi notes and when to play them in user definable boundaries eg. every 8th note, synced or not, play probabilty 70% etc.

'similar to' but not the same. with bidule's module, you need to set a root note then count up the 1/2 steps from there for each other note. great idea but hard to get happening in real time - for example in a performance. would be much easier to be able to pick the notes with a controller keyboard. also, i'm not sure if you can sync it up to a midi click. i think it uses it's own independent tempo that you choose.
