Read more about Kong Audio and their exciting VSTs Here!

The winner is:

Arthur Gower!
EXCELLENT! He's a great mate of mine. Met him in college when I was walking down the hall and heard him fiddling with an electric piano and Minimoog. So I introduced myself. An avid gamer . . . and a guy who's been away from music too long. Maybe now I can turn him to the dark side and get him into computer music . . . what's the best cheap-ass host around? :hihi:
Cool! Good news eh? :D

He needs to PM me and tell me which prize he wants of the three from Kong Audio so I can get his details for the prize delivery! ;)

Cheers,
Alex

Odd :? which version did you listen to? Its uncompressed so I'm not suprised its a bit quiet, but I'm worried the bass is overblown if anything.. :?:

The mix sounds really weird here though. I had to check my sub and eq to make sure it wasn't my setup, but it wasn't. It seems very bass lacking, but perhaps that's how you meant it.
I think thats what you get for doing a quick "mastering" job on headphones at 4AM..

I replaced them with versions encoded straight from the 24-bit mix I propose to upload (I just normalised first): mp3 ogg
I have to say it -- I LOVE this song mate!!!

I WANT THE CD!!! :)

Cheers,
Alex

I listened to both versions, and both mp3 and ogg. Perhaps someone here can confirm this??
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

I think TOTC would take care of the loudness and low/mid EQ, yeah Freezey? ;)

Cuz I just blasted it through me DAX ref mons and it kicks major buttocks :)

I thought it sounded terrific - maybe even a little bit heavy on the big synthy bass - but probably fine. Nice song too.

Makes me really insecure about mine...

Yep, the balance is a bit off (boosting it a bit at about 12khz in Winamp seemed to help a lot), but... Excellent stuff! :D

Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Sure, but it's better taken care of in the mixing stage. At least the Eqing.

Hmmm...I'll have to test it on some different speakers, something's not right. But yes, the song is indeed very cool!

Ok, checked it on my monitors and it sounds spot on, or like you say iirs, perhaps a little bass heavy. Somethings screwy with my PC speakers, but it sounds really good on the monitors.

We're at 103 preorders. The first Gwydi CD goes to Randall Moore! :D
My Soundcloud Too many pieces of music finish far too long after the end. - Stravinsky

Probably the subbass being 'enhanced' by consumer stuff such as my headphones creating 'mud' and thus obfuscating the higher frequencies. Try maybe some low-mid cut on the sub (200hz or thereabouts).
