I haven't used it enough to know if it is good through a broad range of soundfonts ( sfz is best for that), but so far it is good. It also has a mono mode for legato playing.

sfz has always been my staple soundfont player. I've tried others and they are either unstable or don't sound as good. And as mentioned, there is sfzedit for extraction purposes.

What was illegal about what that guy posted.. I thought he wanted to trade cds? If i want to trade my bjork cd for your metalica is there anything wrong with that..

I don't think we should assume anything, but it would be reasonable to question whether the offer is for trades of original discs, with a proper license transfer, etc.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:What was illegal about what that guy posted.. Nonetheless it was totally inappropriate. It was like somebody farted and then tried to blame the dog.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:Oh okay.. So he made no illegal offer.. We all just asumed he did. It was ambiguous.

First of all, this thread is not, and I strongly suspect was not, meant to be about swapping sample cds.LIMITAPROACHINGINFINITY wrote:What was illegal about what that guy posted.. I thought he wanted to trade cds? If i want to trade my bjork cd for your metalica is there anything wrong with that..
Secondly, Trading cds is not illegal that I know of, presuming that it's an original cd, but that would really be up to the repective agents of Bjork and Metallica.
Thirdly, I doubt any sound developer on here (which there are many) would take kindly to such a post.
Just my 2 cents.

Not free but the new version supportS SFZ 24 bit files. Now sf2 does not support 24 bit files but a new sf spec will. Now you can build SF2's with Awave. I can't think of too many thing's it can't do. But it's not free.
Looks like the free demo can export.. hmm.. maybe i wont have to pay..
